Monster Massive is an annual electronic music festival held the weekend of, or the weekend prior to Halloween night. The festival is Halloween themed and many of the attendees dress in costume. Monster Massive is held annually in Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Sources say that a sold-out Monster Massive in 2008 drew well over 60,000 guests, making it one of the biggest dance festivals in North America.
Monster Massive is host to some of the biggest names in electronic dance music, which has included Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Sasha, Felix Da Housecat, Armand Van Helden and many others.

The first Monster Massive was held in 1997 and all subsequent events have been held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Monster Massive of 2008 and 2009 had a reported 65,000 tickets sold. 16,000 attended in 2010. The event was limited to ages 18+ due to the death from water intoxication of Sasha Rodriguez in June 2010 at Electric Daisy Carnival. In 2011 the event was announced as cancelled by the online ticketing outlet, GrooveTickets (Flavor.us), and other artists scheduled to perform; Armin Van Buuren [2], Nero, and Erick Morillo.
